Kallie has been asking to ride the train, and we finally made it happen.
We decided to take front runner down to SLC and eat dinner and do a fun surprise while we were there. She kept saying "I'm excited!"
It was fa.ree.zing!!!!!
But we brought extra clothes and a blanket for the stroller as well as bundled up too.
She got a little scared when the train pulled up, but was so excited when we got on. Words like "this is so fun!" and "This is so cool" were coming out of her mouth over and over again.
This picture speaks for itself. This is when we found our seats, sat down and started to go.
She didn't stop talking the entire time. Bry asked her if she wanted to go upstairs, but we have been watching a lot of Polar Express, left over from Christmastime, and she thought "upstairs" meant the top of the train. I can understand why she said no. She had to go potty while on the train, and Daddy made sure we sat in the train car that had the bathroom in it (there is only one bathroom on the whole train) and after she got up and did that she felt brave enough to go upstairs with Dada. They didn't stay up their for long, but I was proud of her for going.
I.just.LOVE.her!
She makes everything so exciting and new. And honestly, a lot of these things are new to me. I haven't done a lot of the things that we do together so they are firsts for both of us and I love doing them with her!
To get to the Mall from the train, you actually have to hop off the train and take trax the rest of the way. It was a little tricky and I am glad Bry was there. He took public transit a lot when he was attending
U of U so he knew his way around. I am pretty sure I would have been lost.

Bry ran to grab Kallie a nutritious McDonalds cheeseburger happy meal for Kallie and Bry and I split a steak salad from Costa Vida for dinner.
Then we went on to do out suprise...
We went to Build-a-Bear.
We let her choose her bear. She helped step on the pedal to put the stuffing in. Daddy even kissed the hear that they put inside. Did you know that they put a barcode inside too? In case it gets lost, hopefully the person that finds it returns it to build-a-bear. They unstitch it, scan the bar code and return your bear! Pretty cool.
After is got it's insides and a heart...it was time for an air bath and brushing. I think this was Kallie's favorite part. She kept wanting to go back to bathe it over and over again.
She didn't take too long in choosing an outfit. She walked straight up to the one she wanted took it off the rack. I told her there were lots of other ones she could look at first, but she said no, this was the outfit she wanted. Easy enough. We got her all dressed up and then took her over to create her "birth certificate".
Meet Blue.
Yep, she named her Blue. And she loves her.

On Saturdays the train only runs every hour, so we had about 20 minutes to kill before we headed back home. She played with Blue and her my little pony happy meal toy while we waited, as well as watched some Little Einstein's on Dada's iPhone.
We chose to wait on the train because it was warm...and that way we didn't miss it.
We asked Kallie if she wanted to do it again, and she does. She had best time...and so did we!
