Kallie was so excited...
She couldn't wait for her Dad to get home from work...
to build her first snowman...
She insisted on waiting till her Dad got home to do it with her. Even though it is dark out when he gets home...and it was freezing. But we got out the camping lantern and put the flash on the camera. She loved every minute of it. She watched it snow all day and kept asking me if there was enough snow to make a snow man.
She helped roll the balls to make the sections...she patted the snow in place...
She did a great job and worked really hard!
He came together quite nicely.
She wanted a Dada one, a Mama one, a Kallie one, and a Duke one.
This was the Dada one and we ran out of snow
(and time...)
We should have named him. He lasted for quite sometime. We would check out the window every morning to see if he was still there. He stood strong up until this warm spell we had last week.
(word to the wise: be sure to throw away the carrot that has fallen off of his face...otherwise your dog will eat it and throw up all over the floor because he ate a rotton carrot that YOU left outside! Shining moment as pet owners.)
"oooh, that's cold!" she said after she kissed him.
Then she found a great spot and plopped herself down to make a snow angel. All on her own. (The white fluff at the bottom is Duke)
It was fantastic snow fun! I am glad we can do things like this in the winter to help keep us sane. As much as I don't like the cold and snow, I do like that we can play in it. Especially now that I have Kallie to motivate me too. :)
