Back in April we went with the Damitz' (Bryan's sister's fam) and Grandma (Bry's Mom) to discovery gateway! That place is amazing and well worth the money! We only stayed till lunch time (cause Kallie needed to get home for a nap) and we didn't even get to see the whole place! There was a whole entire upstairs that we weren't able to get to. I was looking through our pictures and realized that I never posted about this.

In the entrance where you go in there is this play place with balls that you can do all kinds if fun things with and there is also this musical section where you can hit wooden pieces to make music. Kallie LOVED this. She loved the cause and effect of what she was doing. She liked to look at the sheet music too. She started to sing when she saw it.

You could round up a bunch of balls and take them to all the fun little stations. The one Kallie was most fascinated with was the one with a vacuum effect. She would watch it and watch it till it was out of site and then she would clap. She is such a character.

They had a toddlers play place (which I was very grateful for) that had a slide, bird house, and some great toddler toys to play with. Kallie enjoyed just being able to play and do her own thing.

Here she is on the teeter-totter with her cousin Simon.

She loved this elmo rocker. It was her "go-to" toy.

Peeking out hte bird house window into the main play area. (look how little she was! That was only 4 months ago! I can't believe how much she has changed since then!)

They had a fun water area that the kids could play in. They had a currant running through it recycling the water and they also had ping pong balls that you could send through the obstacles and they would keep going because of the currant.

There was a gas station and a firetruck. Evie, Kallie's cousin, was very helpful and kept asking Kallie to please sit down so she wouldn't fall.

She had so much fun and we didn't even see/play in half of it! There was a kitchen, a market, a farm, a construction site, and that was only the down stairs. I have no idea what we missed upstairs! She got so tired and worn out. She fell asleep in the car before we even left the parking garage!

That was a fun day, wasn't it? She really has changed so much in those four months, it's amazing! I'm so glad you guys are nearby to come and play together!
that sounds fabulous! i've always wondered about that place, but avoided it because of the price. i think i'll add it to my winter "to-do" list!
