Thanks Uncle Sam!

Many of you know this already, but we just bought our first house! We are very excited and grateful that everything worked out. Everyone knows how bad the economy is and the effect that it has had on the real estate market, and while we think it's a terrible thing that's happening and would never wish foreclosure on anyone, we've been the beneficiaries of someone elses misfortune. This was a short sale. Don't be fooled by the name my friends, this process has been anything but short. We made our initial offer on April 19th, and didn't close until July 11th. Our journey has been long and stressful, but we can finally check the "own" box instead of the "rent" box on our taxes.

We are very sad to be leaving our old neighborhood and ward (we already miss you Fidder's Creek-ites), but excited to be starting this chapter of our lives. Here's a few pics of the place. It's a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom townhouse with a 2 car garage. Please keep in mind that these pictures were taken before we cleaned and had the carpet replaced:
