She is 6 months!!! Well technically 6 and a half now, but here are just a couple of her 6 month pictures! (More to come cause there were so many great ones!) She is getting so big and growing and learning everyday. She can sit on her own, she eats so well, and has started laughing this very unique laugh. She loves plums, sweet potatoes, apples, pears and butternut squash. But she doesn't love peas, although she will eat them as long as she can take sips of water every three bites or so. She is so fun! She doesn't mind being on her tummy (she used to hate it) and she does really well at entertaining herself. She has quite spitting up for the most part! YAY!!! Needless to say we have become a bit relaxed about carrying a burp cloth around and have found ourselves wanting a few times. :) Essentially she is a happy girl who is very strong and can hold her own in a conversation! She loves to hang out with her Dad and is sad on the days that he has school and she doesn't get to see him (she really is, she gets fussy when he is not here and she knows he should be!)

I was starting to feel like a normal person again, feeling like I didn't need a nap and could get things done while she napped, and that very night she started waking up 3-4 times a night. She used to sleep from 9-5:30 eat and then go back to sleep till 7:30. I am not sure what has brought on the change but we are going on 3 weeks of it and I am feeling, well a little less than normal to say the least. (This is part of the reason I have tons of blogging to catch up on!) I am not sure what to do cause she is waking up hungry and wanting to eat. I have tried to soothe her back to sleep without feeding her (she has started to take a bink which has been helpful) but she usually wakes up within 20 minutes unless I feed her! Any suggestions??? I have heard that this happens...

Ahhh, the anxiety that comes with new skills! My kids sleep poorly when they're working on new things. I hope that's all it is and she's back to normal quickly.
Her pictures are just beautiful, and she's such a fun girl. I can't wait to hear her laugh! Happy 6 month birthday Kallie Lou Who!
LOVE the pictures. What a little doll; I love that girl! Of course you know we are going through the same sleep issues with Ally- just thought I'd say again that I sympathize. :(
P.S. I know this is random, but every one of your songs on here are some of my current favorites as well! Anything by Colbie Caillat rocks. Singing in the Rain is one of my favorites; I own it!
She is so cute. Love the cheeks! We know all about chubby cheeks at our house. I think that they are perfect for a baby. No helpful hints for sleeping. Reese only doesn't sleep well if she's not eating enough. She did that a little while ago and I started mixing her food with cereal, and now she's sleeping fine again. Maybe that'll help. Good luck, hey maybe she's teething??
Hey Rach,
As you know, I had/have some pretty serious sleep issues with the Frankster...I am going to give you a call. I started writing and it is just too much...
Love you - it will get better.
Rachel,
She is so beautiful! I check often for new pictures and just don't have much time to post to them!
I am sorry, I don't have much advice for you on it, but is she bottle fed? If so add some cereal (just a couple of tablespoons) to her bottle....if she isn't bottle fed, put her in bed with you! That is what I had to do and still do most of the time and Catie will be a year in Oct! I just let her nurse all night some nights so I can get some sleep! :P
She is darling! Eve is moving across the floor now and standing up against the couch a lot. She also likes to talk a lot.
There are a few things that could have disrupted Kallie's sleeping, she may be teething, she may be going thru a growth spurt she may be gassy sometimes or whatnot. Don't worry. Take it one night at a time and hopefully things get better. I do notice that if Eve is in the bed with me then she sleeps a bit better. I normally put her in around 4 or 5 in the morning when she wakes up.
My kids always seemed to have a rough time when they started teething. For some reason the nursing seemed to soothe them more than anything so they would want to nurse all night long. Remember, this too shall pass! Try to just catch up on sleep with her during the day. Try to enjoy all these little things, they will be gone before you know it!
What a doll!
I love her pictures. She is such a pretty girl. Her eyes are amazing.
As far as the sleeping, I don't know if I can be of any help. It's weird how they will sleep so well, then all of the sudden start waking up. Is she teething? Maybe try some motrin right before bed. It's always hard to tell...where is that instruction manual??
Hugs:)
She is growing up too fast! What a sweet-heart!
