She's one!!!

I can't believe it! She is one! I know everyone tells you that the time goes fast...and it does! We can't imagine life without her! All the great things we would be missing. She makes us smile even when she is sleeping!

She has an amazing personality, is so friendly

and has a captivating smile!

We love this girl so much! She took her sweet time in getting here and still has that personality now. She will do it when she is ready and in her own time. We just try to guide and encourage her along the way. That is part of the reason we love her so much! She is strong, independent, funny (and knows it), a big tease, sweet, gentle, and the cutest little girl you will ever meet. She says hi to almost everyone she sees (eventually we will have to teach her stranger danger) and loves to play and laugh! She gives the sweetest kisses and hugs. Sometimes you don't even have to ask for them. She is very determined, very hard to distract and loves to explore her world and figure things out. She loves music, loves to dance and she sings now too. She has a very large vocabulary already and I am grateful for the communication. Her first word besides Dada was duck and her second word was clock ( I know crazy right? but it is the truth). Now she says duck and makes a quacking sound (no, she does not say quack quack, she actually makes the sound), car, eat, snack, please, Jesus, Jessica (our neighbor), book (and she loves to read), says meow when asked what a kitty cat says, dog and ruff ruff, baby, ball, cracker, food, drink, milk, juice, tickle tickle, Kallie, cute, yucka, hello, poop (and pats her diaper when she is poopy or when she lets out a toot), thank you, keys, light, uh-oh and she knows that three singing pigs say "la la la" (thanks to Moo, Baa, La La La by Sandra Boynton and Grandma McCracken for giving it to her). She says mama on occasion, but not consistently. (The long list is for her to look back on and because I am really proud of her too! ;)
I remember talking to Bryan on several occasions before she was born about what she would be like and what her little personality would be like. Well, her personality is not little by any means and she is more than I could have dreamed of! I love her more than I thought I could ever love. She brings out the best in Bryan and I and we cherish our sweet Kallie! We love having her as a part of our family!
