Prop 8: be educated
I am not a very political person. I need to be more aggressive about what happens in and to our country. It is my right and my duty to understand and do the best we can with what we are given and to strive to keep the freedoms that we are so blessed to enjoy today. That being said, there is a great website to educate you on Prop 8. It was designed by the church and I think, whether you live in California or not, you should be aware of this and the effect that opposing it will have on our society. I am not trying to tell anyone how to vote, just encouraging you to be educated. It will most likely effect our/your state, where ever we are in the country, at some point in the coming years. I believe that this is the sort of stuff we were put here to stand against and fight as the 'noble youth (and not so youthful) of this generation.' I am not against those that choose this lifestyle. That is a choice that is theirs to make and I will continue to love them, but I will also continue to support the preservation of Families as lined out by the Prophets of our day (The Family: A Proclamation to the World) and has been the same since the beginning of time. I know this can be a sensitive issue, but this is where I stand and for me and my small family this is what I believe. It is my responsibility to stand for what I know to be right and to teach my children (child so far) what I KNOW to be true.

Thank you so much for posting about prop 8 That was really awesome!!!
hey Rachel's our good friend! Good for you for standing up on the issue, even though you're in Utah. It's been tough out here in Cali...Taylor & I went around knocking doors and it's scary a little bit...some of our friends got yelled at and other terrible things, but it's the right thing to do! It's a beautiful thing to see everyone going out and making an effort. I didn't know about the church website, thanks for that info!
